Our Roots

The Oblates of St. Francis de Sales

Founded in 1875 by St. Francis de Sales, the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales (OSFS) are a religious congregation dedicated to the education and spiritual formation of young people. Rooted in the gentle, humble, and transformative spirituality of their patron, the Oblates have been shaping hearts and minds for over a century.

The Salesian charism emphasises a "heart speaks to heart" approach — meeting each person where they are and drawing out their God-given potential through kindness, reason, and faith. Today, the OSFS congregation serves in over 20 countries across five continents, operating schools, universities, retreat centres, and pastoral ministries.

Vision & Mission

Guided by the gentle wisdom of St. Francis de Sales

Our Vision

"A world where every person experiences the gentle, humble, and transformative love of God through Salesian education."

We envision a global community transformed by education that honours the dignity of every person, fosters authentic relationships, and opens hearts to the divine presence in everyday life.

Our Mission

"To provide holistic education that integrates faith, academics, and character formation, following the spirituality of St. Francis de Sales."

We are committed to forming young people who are intellectually competent, morally upright, spiritually alive, and socially responsible — ready to lead with humility and serve with compassion.

How We Educate

Our Approach

A holistic model rooted in Salesian spirituality

Why Salesian Education?

Salesian education places the student at the centre. We believe that true education forms the whole person — mind, heart, and spirit. Our approach is gentle yet firm, joyful yet deeply reflective. It is an education that liberates, inspires, and transforms.

Faith, Academics & Character

We integrate faith into every aspect of learning, not as a separate subject but as a living reality. Academic excellence is pursued alongside character formation, creating graduates who are knowledgeable, virtuous, and compassionate leaders for the common good.

The Salesian Difference

What sets us apart is our commitment to the Preventive System — education through reason, religion, and kindness. Instead of punishment, we inspire. Instead of fear, we build trust. Instead of distance, we walk alongside. This is the heart of the Salesian difference.
